Learn to sew or develop your skills. In a small group, work on a garment or accessory of your choice, with guidance from Anita or Denise.

Make something that suits you
A skirt for yourself, children’s clothing or an accessory: the project is yours to choose. Work with existing patterns or your own design. Beginners and experienced makers are welcome.
What is included
Personal guidance, use of sewing machines and overlockers, patterns, pattern paper, thread, interfacing, elastic and basic supplies. Coffee, tea and a little treat are included too.
What to bring
Bring fabric and any special materials for your project, such as specialist thread or buttons. You can also buy fabrics, zips and trims from our stock in the atelier.

Course fees and payment
From September 2026, the adult sewing course costs €280 for eight weeks, payable in one instalment. We email you an invoice and arrange your lessons with you once payment has been received.
If your preferred class is full, join the waiting list first. We will contact you when a place becomes available.
Can I make up a missed class?
If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you may make up the class, provided a place is available at another class time.
How do I leave the course?
Please give a full month’s notice to leave the course. If you would like to return later, you will rejoin at the end of the waiting list.
Where are the classes held?
At Atelier Anita de Groot, Hoogstraat 155A in Schiedam. Anita de Groot or Denise Beeckmans will guide you through your own project.
